Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2024

This policy outlines how we collect and use information when you visit EmojiCollection.com (hereinafter the “Site”). We do not request any personally identifiable information (e.g., name or email address) nor do we have any registration or subscription forms. Our main goal in collecting data is to better understand website traffic and optimize the browsing experience.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Analytics Tools

We use Google Analytics, Cloudflare, and Ahrefs to collect browsing data in an anonymous manner. This includes:

  • Pages visited
  • Type of device and browser
  • Approximate region (no precise geolocation)
  • Traffic source (search engine, social media, or external link)

We do not link this information to your personal identity nor do we obtain your exact location.

1.2 Cookies

The Site uses session cookies and persistent cookies:

  • Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies may remain on your device for a set period and are used for performance or security purposes.

You can disable or block cookies in your browser settings, but certain features may be affected.

2. Purpose of Data Collection

Site Analysis and Improvement
Data helps us identify which sections are most useful and detect potential technical issues, thereby optimizing the Site’s structure, content, and performance.

Security and Performance
Cloudflare protects the Site against attacks and enhances loading speed.
Ahrefs is used to analyze SEO factors, such as incoming link quality and page visibility.

No Advertising
We do not display ads, so we do not collect data for advertising purposes nor do we sell user information to third parties.

3.1 European Union (GDPR)

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) governs data protection in the EU. Although we do not collect data that can directly identify you, your IP address or other technical identifiers may be considered personal data in some cases.

Legal Basis (Article 6 GDPR)

  • Legitimate interest: we collect anonymous browsing data to understand how the Site is used, improve its performance, and protect it against misuse.
  • Consent: if you wish to limit data collection (e.g., analytical cookies), you can reject or block such cookies in your browser settings.

Rights Under the GDPR

  • Access: know whether we process data that could be linked to you.
  • Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure: request deletion of data that might identify you.
  • Restriction or Objection: limit or object to specific processing activities.
  • Portability: request your personal data in a structured, commonly used format, when applicable.

Since we do not store personally identifiable data, your main choice involves accepting or rejecting cookies. For questions or to exercise these rights, please contact us (Section 9).

3.2 California (CCPA)

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants California residents specific rights regarding personal information. These include:

  • Knowing what data is collected and how it is used.
  • Requesting deletion of stored personal information.
  • Opting out of the sale of personal information.
  • Not being discriminated against for exercising these rights.

In our case, we do not collect data that can identify you personally, nor do we sell information to third parties. The collection is limited to statistical and security purposes. Your primary option to control the collection is managing cookies (Section 7). If you wish to exercise your CCPA rights or have questions, contact us (Section 9).

3.3 Brazil (LGPD)

Brazil’s Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD) grants residents the right to:

  • Confirm whether data processing is taking place.
  • Access, rectify, or delete data.
  • Object to certain processing activities.
  • Request data portability, where applicable.
  • Receive information about data usage or transfers.

Our processing does not allow us to directly identify you, as we handle anonymous data solely for analysis and security, without selling or disclosing it to unauthorized third parties. If you live in Brazil and wish to exercise these rights, see Section 7 for cookie management or contact us (Section 9).

4. Data Retention

Anonymous usage data is stored on the servers of Google Analytics, Cloudflare, and Ahrefs for as long as each platform deems necessary for statistical and security purposes. Once the retention period expires, the data is either deleted or permanently anonymized.

5. Minors

The Site is aimed at a general audience. We do not deliberately collect information about minors under 13 years of age (or the minimum age established by local regulations). If you believe a minor has provided data without proper authorization, please let us know so we can remove it.

6. Information Security

Our providers (Google Analytics, Cloudflare, Ahrefs) use security measures and encryption to protect collected anonymous data. We do not transfer or sell this data to external entities. In cases where data is transferred to servers in other countries (e.g., the United States), it is done with appropriate legal safeguards.

7. Control Over Your Data

  • Browser Settings
You can block, delete, or restrict cookies through your browser’s preferences. Check your browser’s help section for details. This may limit some Site features.

  • Google Analytics Opt-Out
Google provides an official add-on that prevents Analytics from collecting data about your visit. You can find it on Google’s official help pages.

  • Do Not Track
We currently do not respond to Do Not Track signals, as the cookies we use are only for analysis and security purposes.

8. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update or modify this policy if we change our data processing practices or to comply with new legal requirements. We will indicate the date of the latest revision at the top. Please review this document periodically for any updates.
